Size: miniature, 3.6 x 3.2 x 1.4 cm
Weloganite
A relatively colorful and large, pagoda shaped crystal, measuring 2.3 cm, sits on its matrix. This rare hydrated, strontium, sodium, zirconium, carbonatate is from the type locality and is named after famed Canadian mineralogist, W.E. Logan. Only a few finds were made of these nice large, straw-yellow crystals over several decades and now, nothing in recent years. These stand as one of the great classic rarities of Canada and indeed, since they are best of species and a totally unique thing, as a marquee rarity by any worldwide standard. ex.
