[edit]A picture of an India Groom carrying his new Bride into the house, mother of the groom is seen smiling in background. Carrying the bride across the doorstep is a non-traditional aspect of wedding picked up from western culture. Picture taken by Brian Glassman. It is sometimes called the bridal carry depending on what you prefer.
