Abstract

   A color transparency of Warren Spahn, wearing a Boston Braves uniform, posed pitching at Braves Field in Bradenton, Florida on March 21, 1952. Spahn is on the pitcher's mound mid-windup. His left leg is planted on the ground, while his right is raised high above his head. His torso leans back, and his left hand holds the baseball at chest level. His gaze looks towards home plate. Empty bleachers can be seen in the background.
