Object history
Deutsch: Redendes Wappen (Aa Lützelmurg) in den Farben des Klosters Tänikon, das von 1413 bis 1798 die Herrschaft über das Dorf innehatte, und der Stadt Zürich, die die Kollatur (Kirchenaufsicht) besass. Im Jahr 1946 schlug die Thurgauische Gemeindewappenkommission der damaligen Ortsgemeinde Aadorf vor, ein Gemeindewappen zu schaffen. Der Vorschlag der Kommission stiess in Aadorf auf Gegenliebe und wurde mit Beschluss vom ??.??.1946 genehmigt. Ende 2000, Anfang 2001 wurde das Wappen mit Beschluss des Gemeinderats zum Wappen der schon seit 1996 bestehenden Politischen Gemeinde Aadorf erhoben.
