Inschriften – oben: Der Römer 1892 – unten: Haus zum Römer, 1405 von der Stadt Frankfurt am Main gekauft und umgebaut, Rathhaus seitdem, zugleich Staette von Reichstagen und Kaiserwahlen, auch Kaufhalle zu den Messzeiten bis 1846, wurde auf Beschluß von Magistrat und Stadtverordneten 1886 bis 1900 von Max Meckel neu hergestellt.
