  • Catalogues raisonnés:
  • F1652r: Faille, Jacob Baart de la (1970) [1928] The Works of Vincent van Gogh. His Paintings and Drawings, Amsterdam: J.M. Meulenhoff, no. 1652r .
  • JH2071 : Jan Hulsker (1980), The Complete Van Gogh, Oxford: Phaidon, no.  2071.
  • The upper left profile of a young girl is recognizably Adeline Ravoux, daughter of the innkeeper at the Auberge Ravoux where van Gogh lodged. She is the subject of portraits F768, F786, and F769. The leftmost figure seen from the back beside her is assumed to be her as well. This figure appears in a number of Vincent's paintings at Auvers, notably in F795 Village street and stairs in Auvers with figures, whose location was just opposite the Auberge.
