var det i stedet tilladt dem at føre det særlige kompagniflag med »et lidet kryds oven i enden ved flagstangen og i midten i hvidt felt vores kongelige ciffer holden af tvende løver«; således kundgjorde Christian VI i 1734-oktrojens §22. - Rigsarkivet, VgK 2. Flag ofthe West Indies and Guinea Company. South ofthe Tropic of Cancer company ships had to fly the swallow-tailed flag, jack and pennant of the navy. North of the Tropic of Cancer they were permitted to fly the special company flag with »a small cross in the upper corner at the staff and on a white field our royal cipher supported by two

lions«, according to a charter by Christian VI in 1734.
