English: A male perched on a ripe guava. The males can be distinguished by their light blue throat patch as seen here. There were many of these parrots about. This particular bird was just about 15 feet from me outside the window. There were Bulbuls and Barbets also which lead to a bit of jostling for the few fruits remaining. The Barbets with their stout bodies and larger size were the winners taking the best fruits. These parrots, though the smallest in size, were hardy in nature and so got their share of the spoils. Their good grip making it hard for them to be dislodged. The delicate Bulbuls were the clear losers but made up for it by looking for insects and worms amongst the leaves.
