English: This is an image of planet Venus (nightside) taken with the AKATSUKI 2-μm Camera (IR2). "IR2 utilizes the atmospheric windows at wavelengths of 1.74, 2.26, and 2.32 μm; the first two suffer only CO2 absorption, while the last one contains a CO absorption band. At these wavelengths the outgoing infrared radiation originates from the altitudes 35 -- 50 km." Here 1.74 μm is blue and 2.26 μm is green and 2.32 μm is red. The image was taken on 2016-10-19 ~16:32 RIGHTS, CREDITS, LICENSES for the original data
