The car is fitted with a Chevrolet 5731cc engine so maybe lacks authenticity. But you can't see the engine with the hood / bonnet down. Regardless of authenticity, the installation of a V8 engine highlights the way that later Victors (and their VX 4/90 derivatives), in pursuit of transatlantic styling trends, ended up with engine bays that dwarfed the four cylinder engines that habitually occupied them.
Although this car may have been labelled a VX 4/90 at the show, and certainly has a VX 4/90 grille, it's actually a Victor or Ventora. Clues are the "G" registration, (too early for the VX 4/90 which went into production after the Victor and Ventora), the black background to the bonnet badge - VX 4/90s were white - and it's missing the polished stoneguards afrom the rear wheel arches.
