Digitized version of the original work can be found on Google Ebook http://bit.ly/UobfNT . This upload is to replace older, incorrect image http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/63/Vasco_da_gama_signature.svg , which drops first "a" in "almirante".
