Summary

Description The U.S. Navy "Amphibious Ready Group Alpha" (Task Group 79.4) underway off Vietnam on 31 July 1968. The ships supported operations "Fortress Attack III" and "Scotland II". TG 79.4 consisted of the following ships (r-l): USS Dubuque (LPD-8), USS Princeton (LPH-5), USS Washoe County (LST-1165), and USS Point Defiance (LSD-31).
