English: 090612-N-5207L-106 SOUTH CHINA SEA (June 12, 2009) The Republic of Singapore Navy corvette RSS Victory (88) maneuvers in formation with the frigate RSS Intrepid (69) and the U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer USS Chafee (DDG 90) in preparation for a surface gunnery exercise during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2009. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
