Description
English: Aerial view of Holt Lock and Dam on the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, USA. The dam impounds Holt Lake, which stretches 18 miles (29 km) upriver to the base of Bankhead Dam and Bankhead Lake. The dam is located at river mile 347 (km 555) on the Black Warrior River, about 7 miles (11 km) east-northeast of the city of Tuscaloosa. View is to the northeast. Lake Holt is upriver to the right of the dam in this photograph.
