DescriptionTypical Good Transmission Line Velocity.png
English: Phase velocity of a typical RG-59 coaxial transmission line with a good (high resistivity) dielectric insulator relative to the speed of light in vacuum. Velocity varies from very slow in the near DC region to almost the speed of light in the high frequency region. Near DC behavior is controlled by the series resistance of the conductors and the bulk resistivity of the dielectric, which has been taken to be approximately 10¹⁵ Ω-cm for this example.
