Description
English: painting; watercolour on paper depicting Tilly Kettle painting a portrait of Shuja ud-Daula and his ten sons, Lucknow, ca. 1815 Tilly Kettle worked as an artist at Faizabad in 1772-3. The Nawabs of Awadh offered considerable patronage to the arts and crafts.
