English: Painted portrait of Florida Supreme Court Justice Thomas Douglas. Born in Wallingford, Connecticut on April 27, 1790. He came to Florida in 1826 from Madison, Indiana to become the U.S. District Attorney: 1826-1846. He served as Florida Supreme Court Justice from January 1846 to 1851 then again from 1854-1855 (Chief Justice 1846-1851). Thomas Douglas died on September 11, 1855.
