Description
English: This uncrowned lion bears a shield of the York colors, blue and mulberry (deep purple), with a white rose-en-soleil (a rose surrounded by the sun’s rays). This was a favorite badge of Edward IV, who inherited the white lion badge from his grandmother, Anne Mortimer.
