Description
English: The Fandango was commissioned as a pendant to Sunday Morning in the Mines and depicts life on a rancho in California during the Mexican era. It depicts Californios enjoying a fiesta. In the center foreground of the painting, a couple dances the Fandango, a dance, while vaqueros round up cattle in the background.
