Summary

Description
English: Edith Cavell was a British nurse and humanitarian who was shot by the Germans for assisting British and Belgian soldiers to escape from enemy territory during WWI. Her memorial is in St Martin's Place, close to St Martin's in the Fields and just north of Trafalgar Square.
