Description
Deutsch: Südsüdostansicht der katholischen Stadtpfarrkirche hl. Stephan in der niederösterreichischen Stadt Stockerau. Eine spätbarocke-frühklassizistische Saalkirche auf einem Hügel inmitten der Altstadt. Der vorgestellte und stadtbildbeherrschende Westturm wurde von 1722 bis 1725 von dem Baumeister Franz Jänggl errichtet und ist mit 88 Meter der höchste Kirchturm Niederösterreichs. 1777/78 erfolgte der Abbruch des gotischen Langhauses und anschließend der Neubau durch den Wiener Baumeister Peter Mollner.
