DescriptionStatue of Viscount Combermere on Grosvenor Road - geograph.org.uk - 526864.jpg
English: Statue of Viscount Combermere on Grosvenor Road. This bronze statue of Sir Stapleton Cotton, Viscount Combermere, is between the two lanes of traffic on Grosvenor Road. The statue is also directly opposite the entrance to Chester Castle. See also 526846. The inscriptions on the four sides of the rectangular block of stone record his battle exploits. Just behind the statue is a large traffic roundabout with its own trees and obelisk, and directly beyond that the road becomes Grosvenor Street.
