Description
Afrikaans: Grietjie, wat saam met die Pretoriuskanon by die Slag van Bloedrivier op 16 Desember 1838 in aksie was, word in die museum in die kelderverdieping van die Voortrekkermonument, Pretoria, gehuisves. Dit is op die agterstel van 'n ossewa gemonteer en was aanvanklik met klein metaalrollers toegerus, instede van die huidige wawiele.[1] Daar bestaan meningsverskil oor die getal kanonne wat by Bloedrivier aangewend is, en dit sou volgens verskillende bronne twee (cf. Preller), drie (cf. Ransford en ander) of meer kon wees.[1]
