Description
English: Solemn Joust on London Bridge (1886), tapestry by Richard Beavis (1824–1896). The tapestry is 9.5 feet high. It depicts a joust between the Scot David Lindsay and the English champion John Welles in which Lindsay unhorse and severely wounded Welles. It took place on London Bridge before Richard II on St Georg's Day, 1390.
