DescriptionSmoke from oil palm mill Tawau Sabah Malaysia.jpg
English: An example of temperature inversion phenomenon in the early morning where air pollutant emitted from an oil palm mill stays close to the ground due to existence of a layer of warmer air over colder air. The warmer air prevents the smoke from rises higher into the atmosphere. The prevailing wind carries the smoke towards the nearby settlement to the middle of the photo.
