First occupants of the corner unit was 'Smith's'. Now occupied by Madison's Gelaterie. Unlike most of the London Road shops they retain the original shop fronts, doors, leaded glass, pilasters etc. Upper floors have lots of querky details, including, out of site in this picture, facing down the hill on London Road, a large 'tear-drop' shaped window. The gables include decorative carvings and monogram style 1888 dates.
