DescriptionSite of Avenue Road Tram terminus - geograph.org.uk - 116710.jpg
English: Site of Avenue Road Tram terminus. This was the site of the Leamington Spa terminus of the Warwick and Leamington Tramway. This was a single route, opened originally in 1881 as a horse drawn tramway to Smith Street in Warwick. Between May and July 1905 it was closed for conversion to electricity. By the late 1920s the competition from motor omnibuses became fierce and the last passenger carrying tram ran on 16th August 1930.
