Other information |
Previously uploaded and rejected. This uploda id very much lower resolution and cannot be reasonably used for republication. The book from which the photo is drawn contains a list of acknowledgements for the illustrations used and cites library sources for other photos used but not this one. The authors preface thanks a colleague for preparing this image for publication which suggests that it was supplied by the author himself from an unknown source prior to 1969. The subject of the photo dies before WW2 and the image is therefore at least that old. Given the foregoing I suggest that it is reasonable to apply fair usage to this historical image. |
