English: Author Frank Scully (right) and confidence man Silas Newton (center) demonstrate ideas about magnetism and earth's orbit using Scully's book Behind the Flying Saucers (1950) to represent a flying saucer and a bowl held inverted by KMYR radio salesman George Koehler (left) to represent the earth. Published in the Denver Post, October 19, 1950, photo by David Mathias, story titled "Little Men Due Soon: Flying Saucer Landing Forecast" by Thor Severson. [After Silas Newton was found guilty of fraud, The Denver Post ran a cropped version of the photo on October 14, 1952 under the front page headline "Saucer Scientist in $50,000 Fraud"]
