Summary

Description
English: Shushan (now Lakefront) Airport, New Orleans, in the 1930s. Postcard view from the air. 1930s, probably shortly after it's inauguration in 1934; certainly before Shushan's name was removed from the airport in the late 1930s.
Note the "camps" (houses on stilts in the shallows of Lake Pontchartrain) seen to left (east) of the airport.
