English: Illustration depicting trophic facilitations where: (A) indirect consumption by top predators (sea otters) creates a cascade effect reducing mesopredators (crabs), increasing mesograzers (herbivorous invertebrates) that remove harmful epiphytes on seagrass that result in increased seagrass or (B) direct consumption or removal of seagrass eating herbivores (turtles) by top predators (sharks) maintains seagrass.
