Summary

Description
English: SS Palo Alto was a concrete ship built as a tanker, launched on 29 May 1919, mothballed until 1929, towed to Aptos, California. A pier was built leading to the ship, and she was sunk and refitted as an amusement ship. Eventually she became unsafe and was closed to the public, and now serves as an artificial reef for marine life.
