Description 031206-N-6967M-002 Athletes competing in the 2003 Military World Games pentathlon showed off their skills in running, swimming, horseback riding, sharp shooting and fencing. The Military World Games in Catania, Italy consisted of 86 participating countries and are designed to promote "Peace through Sports.” Russia won the overall medal competition at the games with 108, including 39 gold.
