English: In 1907, Kind Edward VII granted the Automobile Club its royal title. His patronage was symbolised by a new badge: a winged Mercury holds up a wreathed wheel, surmounted by a crown, with a portrait of the Sovereign at the centre. The magnificent logotype is a representation of the original Club bonnet ornament. The reworked identity has placed emphasis back to the wheel, supported by a winged Mercury, to symbolise the Club's perpetual movement forward, and the drive of members to continue to follow new paths with vitality and enthusiasm.
