Description

Fortified church of Rotbav, Transilvania, Romania.

This is a photo of a historic monument in județul Brașov, classified with number BV-II-a-A-11768.
South-East Transylvania boasts Europe's densest system of well preserved medieval fortifications. Virtually every village of this region has a fortified church in good shape, let alone ruined strongholds, forts and fortified castles.
