Description The River Avon flows through the centre of Bristol, England. Portions of the true river can also be seen top left, and towards the top of the picture at centre right
Centre left is Bristol Bridge, with four cars on it.
In the bottom left corner are the red-tiled roofs of the former Georges Brewery, bordering the river. The buildings are now flats.
Bottom right is the greenery of Castle Park with people sunbathing.
The hills at top right include Ashton Park where the Bristol Balloon Fiesta is held.
The picture was taken from a tethered passenger balloon, 500 feet up.
