Summary

Description The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La (CVA-38) and the Italian frigate Carlo Martgottini (F595) are refueld by the British fleet oiler RFA Orangeleaf (A80) during a NATO exercise. Shangri-La, with assigned Carrier Air Wing 8 (CVW-8) was deployed to the Mediterranen Sea from 15 November 1967 to 4 August 1968.
Note Shangri-La´s pennant number, painted unusually low on the island.
