Summary

Description The Ridgeway Library building was built 1873-78 at 900 South Broad Street, as a late example of Greek Revival architecture, with a bequest by Dr. James Rush to honor his wife, Phoebe Ann Ridgeway, for the Library Company of Philadelphia. Architect was Addison Hutton. Now occupied by the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts with a large 1997 addition in the rear.
