The Central Presbyterian Church at 593 Park Avenue at East 64th Street in the Lenox Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City was built in 1920-22 as the Park Avenue Baptist Church, and was designed by Henry C. Pelton and Allen & Collens in the Collegiate Gothic Revival style. The church, sometimes called the Little Cathedral, was financed by John D. Rockefeller Jr.. The Baptist congregation left in 1929 for Riverside Church, designed by the same architects. The Presbyterian congregation was founded in 1821. The single facade covers a complex of structures, including the church, a Sunday School, a 500 seat auditorium and offices. The church is located in the Upper East Side Historic District.
