Antica focacceria San Francesco Nel cuor del centro storico di Palermo, laddove sorgeva la Cappella del settecentesco palazzo dei Principi di Cattolica, nacque la "focacceria San Francesco". Era il 1834. Il fondatore Antonio Alaimo, di professione cuoco di palazzo, ebbe come saldo delle sue spettanze i locali dell'ex cappella, dove ancora oggi è attiva la focacceria. La stessa si affermò già dal 1834, come il primo locale pubblico dove poter consumare piatti tipicamente palermitani: lo sfincione, la focaccia schietta e quella maritata.
