Ball-and-stick model of the orthocarbonic acid molecule, C(OH)4, i.e. H4CO4.

Colour code:

S4 molecular symmetry and (approximate) geometry based on Chem. Eur. J. (2010) 16, 3663–3675.

Precise structure calculated with Spartan Student 4.1, using the MP2 level of theory and the 6-311+G** basis set.
