The 24th May, 2010 the second Nor’wester of 2010, hit Kolkata at 60kmph, accompanied by rain, till 5.30pm, the city had received 7.4mm of rain in 24 hours. Kolkata has received far fewer Nor’westers than normal in 2010. The first one came late on 7th May, 2010 accompanied by 31mm of rain in 24 hours.
