English: Berliner Journal, Neujahrs-Glückwunsch 1888. The newspaper published an annual broadside with a long poem to celebrate the New Year. This one was written in the local Pennsylvania German dialect.
The Berliner Journal did not yet have US subscribers, so this issue was only published in Canada. Publishers Friedrich Rittinger and John Motz died in 1897 and 1911, respectively, making this PD in both countries.
