Summary

Description
English: Neogobius fluviatilis and Neogobius kessleri, two invasive species from the Danube caught in the Rhine. Neogobius fluviatilis prefers sandy bottomes, N. kessleri rocky bottoms, which is reflected in the color. The ligh sany colored fish is Neogobius fluviatilis. Neogobius kessleri has a wide mouthgape which it uses to predate on juvenile cyprinids.
