Summary

Description
English: Monument, designed by Robert Burn in the shape of a spyglass, to commemorate Vice-Admiral Nelson who died at the Battle of Trafalgar on 21st October, 1805. Work on the 106ft high structure, paid for by public subscription, began in 1807 and was completed in 1816.
