English: Navicula tripunctata (O.F. Müller) Bory, 1822
The specimens agree well with Patrick & Reimer 1966, pl.49, fig.3 and Cox 1979, p.137, figs 7-9. Although essentially a freshwater species it is found occasionally in brackish water. It was also recorded by Foged 1978, p.100, pl.29, fig.8 from the rocky coast at Noosa Head, Queensland - a marine habitat, scale= 50 µm
