English: The building was federally funded in 2009 ($9.5million), designed by Architects Blomquist and Wark to be a '5 star' environmentally designed state of the art building for delivering of courses in renewable energy and sustainable building design and construction practices.
The building includes Geothermal heat pump for heating and cooling; solar panels (25 kW); Rainwater harvesting and recycling; green concrete with low cement content; and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) timber. Eighty per cent of the construction waste was recycled.
