Ships of four NATO Navies operate together in the Mediterranean Sea, in 1979. Ships are (from top):

  • the U.S. Navy frigate USS Brumby (FF-1044),
  • the Italian frigate Carabiniere (F581),
  • The Royal Navy frigate HMS Charybdis (F75), and
  • the Turkish destroyer TCG Tinaztepe (D 355), ex-USS Keppler (DD-765).
