Summary

Description
English: The passages instrument, commissioned to Jonathan Sisson (1690 - 1747) - one of the most important scientific instrument makers of his time - by Eustachio Manfredi (1674-1739) in 1735, to replace Lusverg's outdated instruments. Manfredi died before ever seeing it in use. Later, Sisson's passages instrument was replaced by the more modern Reichenbach, Utzschneider & Liebherr instrument. It is exhibited at the Meridian Room of the Specola Museum, a specialized museum collecting astronomical instruments between the 18th and 19th centuries, hold by the University of Bologna.
