I simply unscrewed the 8 screws at the bottom and pried the cover loose with a bank card (it doesn't come loose that easily, but with a bank card or such that completely changes). Putting the cover back, it also clicks into place at some points, such as where the battery fits in (where it is visible on the outside and I also had most 'difficulty' getting it to click).
The netbook was bought 20081107 in the Netherlands.
